Hello! Could use some help dating this swimsuit. Has no tags. Also am curious as to what fabric it could be made from. It has stretch to it. It has what appears to be nylon lined and lightly boned (in white) cups; metal zipper; removable halter strap; crotch lined in front. From research so far, it seems it could be as old as 30s but the lined/boned cups and zipper could mean later..?
TIA!

It's 1950s, or maybe very late 40s. The presence of nylon pretty much confirms this, as it was not readily available until after WWII. I have a rule of thumb in dating swimsuits stylistically. Imagine the top of the suit with a skirt. In this case you should see a full skirt, below the knee. Fashion was present even in swimwear, and the top of 1950s suits can usually be pictured as the top part of a dress.

Thanks so much, @fuzzylizzie ! Any idea what the fabric could be?
