Hugo Boss silk tie. 80's? Charity shop find.

It was love at first sight for me and this lovely uber fine Hugo Boss silk tie - just £1 (discount request refused so I paid in full - cash!) in a charity shop rummage bin. I don't know much about anything, but I know even less about men's ties. But, something tells me it is 1980's vintage...
