My grandmother graduated college for fashion and design back in the 60’s. She had her own dress shop in the late 60’s early 70’s. Today she gave me some things in a box and I came across the most odd skirt. It is long and had an adorable sequenced train on it. The sequenced white smoke has the name Mike Benet sequenced in it. Can anyone tell me about this skirt?

Is the zipper metal teeth or nylon? I am thinking 1950s, but it could also be a 70s midi style, so the zipper material would help there. It's a really cute skirt, and that's a railroad striped cotton ( what railroad engineers' overalls were made of back in the day) with the sequinned train. The company was around for a long time in Pittsburgh, they made tons of nice formals over the years.

what is the waist measurement? If its a size 9 and isn't teeny teeny tiny then that could also confirm the later decade guess of the 70s
