Julien's Auctions of Los Angeles sold three of Princess Diana's dresses (Sept. 6 - 8) , EACH for more than $500,000.

This red Bruce Oldfield silk gown worn by Princess Diana in 1991 sold for $571,500.

And this Catherine Walker gown sold for $508,000 - eight times its original estimate of $60,000.

Yes, they sure got good prices for all of the star and celebrity related garments. I was planning on bidding on one of the hats Audrey Hepburn wore in "Funny Face". Like I could ever win, only in my dreams! I forget now but I think it sold for over $24,000.00.

That's collectors 'investing' in what they think is an upward market for fashion collectables. I guarantee you these two dresses will end up on the market again in ten years...
