Q&A: help me identify this dress

I bought this beautiful dress at an estate sale in California. It doesn't have a fashion label, but it does have a label nonetheless. I'll include pictures, hopefully someone can help me identify the dress, I'd like to know how much I can ask for this item, thank you.

Looks like a 70s dress probably made from synthetic knit. The label is from the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union, and indicates that it was made in the US.

The fabric definitely looks synthetic. The union tag is from the 1970s.
