VFG's Fresh Vintage on YouTube: 2024

Someone asked me yesterday how to Subscribe to the VFG YouTube channel?

There are a couple of ways to watch YouTube videos:
  • click on a link to a YouTube video, like the ones we provide in our posts here
  • Do an internet search for a topic you are interested in, choose the Videos tab to see all the possible videos for that topic - a lot will be YouTube but not all. Click to choose and watch one that looks interesting.
  • Create a YouTube account. How-To HERE . It's free, and they don't require a lot of personal information. Once you have a YouTube account, you can interact with the YouTube community - Subscribe to channels that are posting content you would like to see more of, Favorite individual videos that you particularly enjoy, leave comments on a video if you like. It's similar to how guests can read our forums, but if they want to post here, they need to be a registered guest.
If you open a YouTube account, technically speaking, you then have your own YouTube "channel", and can create content of your own if you want to. But most YouTubers just enjoy watching videos. YouTube will suggest that you might want to sign up for YouTube Premium for a monthly fee - it's not required - you can safely ignore it as long as you are OK with ads here and there.

If you Subscribe to a channel, YouTube will suggest more of that channel's content when you visit YouTube. It's similar to Following someone on Instagram or Facebook.

Why does we ask you to Subscribe, Like, Comment on our YouTube videos? Like most social media platforms, YouTube has an algorithm. Viewer interaction shows "engagement", and more engagement tells YouTube that we are worthy of more exposure to visitors who may not know us.
